BrainLit welcomes Ice Hockey World Championships 2022

Spring is coming and the amount of natural light is increasing in the Northern parts of the world after the long winter. The Ice Hockey season is soon in the books, with the European leagues and NHL moving towards the finals.  While we are preparing to welcome the global Ice Hockey Community to Finland, we at BrainLit wish the best of luck to all teams.

BioCentric Lighting™, powered by innovation

The global Ice Hockey community has a lot to look forward to this spring! All teams playing in the World Championships will have the opportunity to not only see, but also experience the world’s most modern arena live. The Nokia Arena in Tampere Finland is a place where innovation and technology meet to provide unique experiences for all the users of the arena – athletes and visitors alike. From the athletes’ point of view there is a lot to experience – so an easy way to learn more about the power of BrainLit’s BioCentric Lighting™ is to hear what the home teams, Tappara and Ilves have to say.

Watch how Tappara benefits from BioCentric Lighting™

Since its opening, the Nokia Arena has been the home of two top Finnish ice hockey teams, Tappara and Ilves. Both teams have had an incredibly successful season: Tappara won the main series and the gold medal, and Ilves in 3rd place has already secured the bronze medal. Both teams are very happy with their new locker rooms, using the “boost” setting before home games, and enjoying the “relax” setting to ensure faster recovery after the games.

Supporting athletic performance

By giving athletes and teams access to light that supports their circadian rhythms, their sleep, rest & recovery can get better. Light can help improve both athletic performance and overall health and well-being. BrainLit’s Biocentric Lighting™ energizes athletes by having a positive effect on sleep, alertness and cognitive function, which are all vital in athletic performance.

BrainLit’s BioCentric Lighting™ is seamlessly connected to other high-tech solutions within Nokia Arena. It is part of a whole ecosystem in which cutting-edge technology has been used to create unprecedented experiences.

May the best team win!

The World Championship is also a great opportunity for the rest of the Ice Hockey community to experience the power of BioCentric Lighting. We are certain that once players and team leaders feel the same boost that the Ilves and Tappara players are feeling, they will want to upgrade their locker rooms to prepare for the winter season, too.

We wish all the teams the best of luck!
