The light recreates the quality, the strength and the variation of natural light indoors, making it possible for the employees to sustain their natural 24-hour rhythm.

A natural light that varies over the day synchronizes people’s 24-hour rhythm also known as the circadian rhythm. To work indoors with a static light of poor quality makes us lose track of this function and we postpone or bring forward the rhythm, just like we would have been travelling through different time zones. A non-synchronized circadian rhythm leads to deprived sleep that after some time might cause a series of serious health problems. The solution from BrainLit, BioCentric Lighting, recreates the variation and quality of natural light making you more alert daytime and easier to relax at nights. The health and your productivity thus benefit from having a synchronized circadian rhythm.

–Our highest priority is to create environments, so our employees and our tenants feel good. Instead of being tired and drained due to spending time indoors they now will become more alert and vigorous thanks to installing BioCentric Lighting in our new office, says Therese Malmström project development manager at Castellum.

This is the third installation Castellum makes. The two firsts are in Lund, one at Castellum’s office and one in the building where BrainLit resides. In Linköping, there is already another installation of BioCentric Lighting at Sigma Connectivity.

–Our vision is to improve life with BioCentric Lighting for all working indoors in Sweden and in the rest of the world. That’s why we’re very happy that such a large, progressive & future-oriented property owner as Castellum chooses to expand our co-operation in more cities, says BrainLit’s CEO Niclas Möttus Olsson.

BioCentric Lighting can be found in various kind of businesses in Scandinavia among others at Sony in Lund, at the neonatal ward of Helsingborg Hospital, at SOS Alarm in Stockholm, and in Hartwall Arena in Helsinki for the KHL-team Jokerit. There is a great interest for the system in Asia and in the US where one can find BioCentric Lighting at the Swedish Consulate in Hong Kong and at the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in New York.

For further information please contact:

Niclas Olsson, CEO BrainLit

Tel: + 46 720 255 263

E-mail: niclas.olsson@brainlit.com

Daniel Lindén, Project Manager Castellum

Tel: + 46 709 257 739

E-mail: daniel.linden@castellum.se

About BrainLit
BrainLit was founded 2012 in Lund by Tord Wingren, one of the inventors of the Bluetooth technology.
